can't answer that..... truth is they're not keen on it - for obvious reasons, but I'm not going to say it doesn't happen.

at sledshot.com we believe that the accommodation cost is well worth the quality of riding that you get at chatter, plus of course the great accommodation and awesome meals at the lodge.

remember it's their time and money that have put in all the cat roads that make it such a great place to sled - super easy access to all the zones.  if everyone just stayed in the parking lot what incentive do they have to look after the sledders?....

a bit of give and take goes a long way.  just imho.

that said, they'll always be people who are happy to take, take, take....

Can anyone inform me how far one is able to drive a truck into hope? I am looking to stock pile some wood out there and need to know what kind of transport is required.

If my hoverboard wasnt broken i would need to ask this question.

Let me know.

depending if that gate before the rock cut is still up you can drive your truck right to the chateau. all the logging roads throughout the hope area are good to go.

For those that use the Chateau during the winter months please note that the wood stock has been refreshed and 4 bags of trash have been removed. However, be advised that the north east coner of the a-frame has collapsed and will require repairs either before the snow flies or next summer (minor job). Unfortunatly i was fresh out of plywood so my associates and i could not make the nessary repairs.

Thanks to the founders of such a magical place.
