Went out here yesterday, trails are getting beat out and there is no new snow.  Trail riding at best no where to get off trail into the open, too many stumps etc in the cut blocks.

I keep hearing of this place is it near fernie?

It is 45 km west of Longview AB at the dead end of the road.  It's about 150 from calgary.

apparently a young woman was riding out there yesterday and hit a tree hard.  she was air lifted out and is apparently in calgary hospital.

hope she is okaii, if anyone else hears anything post it up here please.

I keep hearing rumblings of epic things in the Catarack region and am going to get "David Thompson" one of these days. Can anyone confirm that the trailhead leading up and over Fording pass into the Elk Valley (B.C) begins at Etherington campground(ALBT). If anyone has any pics that would rule.

Hey the trail into bc over fording pass is marked on some of the trail signs and pretty much all the ones near it.  Never made it ove cuz i usually ride with the vintage crowd but heard it is good once you get over the pass.
